Considered the king of beasts for millennia, the African lion (Panthera leo) comes in seven different species (with an 8th species residing in Asia). Lions are the most social of the big cats. They reside in groups called prides, (which is unique among cats). The pride will consist of one to several adult males, related females, and cubs. The lion is an apex predator. Groups of females will hunt for their prey, hunting for the rest of the pride. Lions have golden brown short fur and a tail tuft which is unique to their species. Males are known for their distinctive golden, brown, or even deep brown manes, which not only look regal, but attract females.

The lion is known for its loud roars, which can be heard up to 5 miles, or 8 kilometers away. Of all the big cats, the lion’s roars are the loudest and most frequent, and are used to communicate with group members and to establish territory. Giraffes are herbivores and are commonly found in groups of up to twenty individuals that live, migrate, and graze together. Zebra Taxidermy Mounts

Zebras (Equus Quagga) are easily one of the world’s more iconic and recognizable animals. Currently, there are three living species of zebra: the plains zebra, Grévy’s zebra, and mountain zebra.
