Creative Ways to Display the Majestic Grizzly Bear

Grizzly Bear

How to Display the Grizzly Bear

For many hunting enthusiasts, preserving and displaying the Grizzly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There are many ways to display this majestic predator – full body displays, to outstretched bear rugs, to shoulder mounts that command presence. The bear mount featured at the top of this article is our gorgeous full body Kodiak Grizzly mount SKU 2342, in Superior condition.

At All-Taxidermy, we help you achieve your dream Grizzy bear taxidermy display. Here are just a few ways we suggest for showcasing your trophy in your home or lodge:

Full-Body Bear Mount Ideas

A full-body Grizzly bear mount is the ultimate tribute to the bear’s imposing stature. Sure to be a statement piece, here are a few of our suggestions for your Grizzly bear mount:

Grizzy Bear Standing on Rock
  1. Standing on Hind Legs: This intimidating pose is one of our favorites. It’s a great way to display the immense height of an adult male bear with an outstretched paw, open mouth, and curious or aggressive stance. A Grizzly bear can reach a height of 7 to 9 ft., so this stance is an excellent way to show the bear’s height off. Place the bear in the corner or in the center of the room for an impressive taxidermy display!
  2. Walking: A more relaxed pose, displaying your Grizzy bear walking is a great way to show off the bear’s build, shoulders, and natural height while also showing him hunting or foraging for food. To add more natural elements to your trophy, our taxidermists can also add custom habitat such as grass, rocks, a log, or prey.
  3. Sitting Down: This calm pose is good for if you want to show your bear eating or relaxing. A much less intimating pose, this is a great choice for any cabin, museum, shop, or nature center where you want the focus on the bear’s facial features, fur, and claws.

2. Grizzly Bear Rugs

If wall space is your greatest asset, a Grizzly bear rug is a timeless choice. At All-Taxidermy, our team utilizes high-quality double-felt borders that complement the bear’s fur.

  1. Wall Hanging: A rug hung on your cabin or café wall acts as a massive piece of organic art, preserving the full scale of the hide without taking up your floors and walkways. It is great displayed alongside a wide range of other animal rugs, such as Black bears, Wolves, Cougars, Bobcats, and other North American predators.
  2. Floor or Sofa Display: Add the finishing touches to your cabin with a Grizzly bear rug! This magnificent bear taxidermy idea is perfect for low-traffic areas of a study or den, complete with outstretched paws and an intimidating open jaw.

If you have questions on taxidermy rug care and how to display, please view our articles here on how to take care of fur pelts and steps for how to hang a bear rug.

3. Half-Body Mounts

The Grizzly bear is North America’s largest predator, which means that it can take up significant space in your taxidermy collection. As such, one of our favorite suggestions for hunters looking to conserve on space is to opt for a half-body mount.

This taxidermy mount type is an excellent choice for showing off a bear standing upright on its hind legs, so that the viewer’s eye can focus on the head, teeth, fur, and claws of the animal.

4. Wall Pedestal & Shoulder Mounts

When many people think of a taxidermy mount, a wall pedestal or shoulder mount likely comes to mind. This popular taxidermy style is great for if you want to display your Grizzly bear alongside other specimens to conserve on space and focus on the head and jaws of the animal.

Wall pedestals and shoulder mounts, likewise, are a more affordable option. They are also a good choice if you’re looking to also keep the skull, claws, and teeth of the animal for display and you’re looking for our team to preserve multiple parts of your Grizzly bear.
